Mahindra Two-Wheelers Ltd. has finally launched the Gusto 125 at Rs. 50,920 for DX variant. The new Gusto features dual-tone body paint with chrome on the side panels in the top variant. Mahindra has also confirmed that they can introduce the disc brake variant soon. With the launch of the Gusto 125, the Indian automaker is eyeing the market share of the Suzuki Access 125, the Swish 125, and the Activa 125. The Gusto is very much similar to its younger sibling and the major difference is felt in the engine capacity. The latest addition to the Mahindra two-wheeler family got its power from a 125cc powertrain which is a bored out version of 110cc M-Tech engine of the previous model. The smooth engine produces 8.6bhp and 10Nm torque that are similar to the Honda Activa 125. Mahindra Gusto is powered by all new M-TEC engines that fall in the 110cc category. The engine is completely made of aluminum, which houses are stronger than usual crankshaft and heavy duty bearings. It is equipped with high energy HT coil, high inertia magneto efficiency, and durability. Mahindra Two-Wheelers limited have finally launched the Gusto 125  for DX variant. Mahindra has also confirmed that they can introduce the disc brake variant soon and also with the launch of the Mahindra Gusto 125, the Indian automaker is eyeing the market share of the Activa 125, the Suzuki Access 125 and the Swish 125. The performance of Mahindra Gusto will be very challenging to its rivals. The scooter’s under seat storage is good enough to keep small helmet or shopping bags and you can also use the front storage space that is located below display panel to keep specks, sun glasses or cell phone. The new Mahindra Gusto 125cc model looks similar to the regular model and the scooter is claimed to offer best-in-class ride quality, safety, and stability. The scooter is being offered in four unique color options such as Orange rush, bolt white, regal red and monarch black. When it comes to weight, Gusto is heavier than other scooters. Mahindra & Mahindra’s vehicle is expensive than two of its competitors but gusto manages to stay ahead of both by offering a mileage of around 63kmpl against Active’s 60 and TVS Jupiter’s 60 kmpl. The price may vary depending on the variant which you can choose, and all the applicable taxes.

The Mahindra Gusto mileage is about 63kmpl and it possesses a refreshing new design compared all the other scooters on sale in India with a lot of sharp creases sans curves. The wide seat makes it riding a joy for the rider as well as the pillion. The riding posture is quite upright with comfortably positioned foot-pegs for the pillion. The Gusto comes with few features such as height adjustable seat, remote flip key with LED flashlight, guide lamps and find me lamps. The Mahindra Gusto uses a telescopic suspension with an air spring system up front and while the rear segment employs a coil type hydraulic suspension system. These features have helped to take comfort, control and ride quality of an 110cc scooter to the higher level. The Mahindra Gusto is dignified by the straight line, braking stability and high speed. The power for the Mahindra Gusto 125 comes from a 125cc air-cooled engine which is paired to a CVT gearbox and this power mill is claimed to churn out a maximum power of 8.6bhp at 7000rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm so this also makes it as powerful as the Activa.
